Hi everyone, my name is Melissa Lusk. I work for a non-profit human rights organization. This blog of mine is dedicated to describing such organizations so people know what they are, what organizations exist, and what they do.
Everyone is exposed to social life and collective activities since childhood. The first steps of communication with other people we get in the family, in a peer group, on the street, in educational institutions, in various forms of organized collective activities – work, study. Collective – a form of entry into social relationships and a way of transferring experience from generation to generation. Of great importance in the formation of socio-political and social activity of students are public associations.
A public association is understood as a voluntary formation, which appeared as a result of the free will of citizens, united on the basis of common interests. Among public associations there are such main groups of formations as political parties, public organizations and social movements.
Public organization is a voluntary association of citizens based on the community of interests, which has a relatively stable organizational structure from bottom to top, a fixed (formalized) individual or collective membership. For public organizations are characterized by the presence of the statute, specialized administrative apparatus, the relative stability of the composition, the material participation of members of the organization (membership fees). According to these attributes, to public organizations can include trade unions, youth, women’s, veterans’ organizations, and various voluntary societies.
